The EnviroSept electronic furnace filter removes up to 99% of larger dust particles and up to 70% of smaller allergens. For higher performance levels see the whole house packages. The EnviroSept electronic air cleaner is an electrostatic furnace or air conditioner filter that permanently replaces your 1 inch disposable air filter.The electrostatic media utilizes the concept of dielectric polarization to effectively remove airborne particles such as pollen, fine dust, airborne plant and mold spores, bacteria, some viruses and tobacco and cooking smoke. The filters come in 35 different sizes to match the most common air/heating vents and are extremely easy to install. It features a 24-volt AC power supply that can plug into any standard electrical outlet. If there is no power outlet near your vent, opt to use an extension cord. The input of 24-volts AC generates a 7,000 volt positive DC charge from its power head. This charge, applied to a central grid, polarizes the and frac12;' thick poly wool blended collector pads on either side of the grid. The polarization causes the airborne particles to be attracted to the filter, therefore allowing the capture of particles. As the air cleaner is used, the disposable collector pads will become embedded with dirt. The pads will normally have to be replaced every one to two months, depending on the amount of activity in your home.NOTE:EnviroSept model numbers are designed to correspond to the approximate size of the filter.
