Original Airlite Photocatalytic Air Purifiers! Photocatalytic air purification purifiers are an emerging technology for purifying the air. The Airlite Air Purifiers use the application of Ti02 (titanium dioxide) in a UV activated photocatalytic system to effectively purify the air indoors. Airlite Photocatalytic UV Air Purifiers create inductive warmth, drawing air into the purifier. When humidified air enters the target area, a photocatalytic reaction occurs and superoxide ions and hydroxyl radicals are created. Airlite Air Purifiers technology works "outside of the box so it is not necessary for polluted air to actually enter the purifier. This process significantly reduces allergens such as pollen, pet dander, dust and odors; and it helps reduce airborne viruses, bacteria, mold and mildew. Photocatalysis is a purification process so effective it's FDA approved for poultry processing (destroys salmonella), pork processing (destroys E. coli), and is also widely used to remove pesticides from fruits and vegetables. It not only attacks bacterial cells, but also decomposes the cell itself. It has been tested in both medical and industrial settings, and has proven successful at eliminating odors and impurities caused by chemicals, viruses, and bacteria.
